Introducing Mike Riley
Our new store manager at Toorak is a familiar face to our customers. Mike has been a part of the Peter Bouchier team for 5 years and takes on the position with confidence.
As young man from Beaumaris, it was Mike’s love for food and cooking and his interest in meat that steered him to butchery at the age of 16. Mike completed his apprenticeship on Hampton Street, Hampton and set his sights on furthering his learning and development as a well-rounded butcher. Mike has been a butcher for 23 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience through past endeavours. Mike took on a position with Woolworths, as a Meat Manager which saw him progress to Assistant Store Manager, completing his cert 3 & 4 in retail management. It was through his experience with the supermarket giant, that Mike took a new challenge of setting up various meat departments overseas, predominantly in New Zealand, offering his valued opinion and critique. Mike also had his own butcher shop in Highett for a number of years before making the move to the join the Peter Bouchier team.
Mike’s style of butchery is well in-tune with the Peter Bouchier vision and belief of top quality, innovative products, served with excellent attention to detail and customer service. Mike enters his new role with his passion for retail and aims to deliver a consistently high standard of customer service. The product offering will reflect Mike’s versatility; with the intention to give customers plenty of varied cooking options, a ‘meat for all methods’ approach, we will see the recreation of many value added products to accommodate the lifestyle and desires of our customers.
We wish Mike all the very best in his new role as Manager at our Toorak store, we look forward to having him in this senior position.
