Low n Slow Beef Brisket

EQUIPMENT
  • Oven
INGREDIENTS
  • 1 whole brisket (approx. 2kg)
  • salt and pepper
  • herbs and spices or try a bbq rub
METHOD
  1. Preheat oven to 150°C
  2. Season one side of the brisket liberally with salt, pepper, herbs, spices and/or a dry rub
  3. Lay two pieces of foil on the bench crossways with a sheet of baking paper on top
  4. Place brisket, seasoned side down, onto the baking paper
  5. Season the other side of the brisket
  6. Bring the foil up and over, covering the brisket - keep the top open to crisp up the brisket. After three hours cover it up
  7. Transfer to an oven dish and cook slowly
  8. Serve with a fresh salsa
